Marriage: From Sacred Vows to Silent Wars
Some incidences in life have made us question the true meaning of the term family. Additionally, we have all begun to doubt the saying that blood is thicker than water.
You and I can attest for a fact, that at one particular point, we got strangers come through for us where help was needed more than urgently, when relatives or the so called "family" did not care or see the essence of being a source of help when we needed it most, even though they had the chance to do so.
Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people who show up when it matters most.
As much as we are related by birth and blood; envy, jealousy, mockery have dominated leading to separation, murder, and lack of cooperation among relatives. Fortunately, we find peace, love, care and support from strangers.
Sometimes, those unrelated by blood carry the deepest love in their hearts.
This provides a sense of belongingness, the feeling of being valued, respected and understood.
By now, we now understand what a family is. It is basically a place where love , care and support are derived effortlessly. Therefore, humanitarian face should be able to clothe us all with such kindness to everyone in need that we come across.
The truest family is built not from shared DNA, but from shared compassion.
